Life Christian Academy (LCA) has earned accreditation from Christian Schools International (CSI), adding a second, faith-specific seal of quality to the Middle States Association (MSA) accreditation LCA announced earlier this year for its PreK-4 program. MSA affirmed that LCA's academics meet the highest general standard. Now, CSI accreditation confirms something just as central to who LCA is: that the Christian mission is lived out, not just stated.
"Every accreditation asks the same question in a different way: are you who you say you are?" said Troy Mooney, Head of School. "Middle States confirmed our academics meet the highest standard. Christian Schools International confirms something just as important: that our faith is the foundation beneath everything we do. Parents shouldn't have to choose between excellence and a walk with Christ for their child. This accreditation, from an organization built for exactly that purpose, says they don't have to."
Why CSI Accreditation
CSI's self-study protocol, Measuring the Mission, doesn't set biblical conviction aside to measure quality. It builds the standard around it, examining how faith shapes leadership, teaching, and daily community life.
CSI organizes its review around four strands: Leading with Purpose, Teaching for Learning, Leading for Learning, and Learning in Community. The review challenged LCA to examine the same academics, character, and community that MSA affirmed, but through a distinctly Christian lens.
Why Christian Schools International
Founded in 1920 as the first national organization to serve Christian schools exclusively, CSI has spent more than a century building the kind of expertise a general accreditor simply can't offer.
-
CSI's self-study functions as a mission-verification process. Every indicator is measured against whether a school is living out its own stated purpose.
-
CSI accreditation is nationally recognized and works alongside partner accrediting agencies that families already trust.
-
CSI accreditation signals to parents, donors, and the wider community that LCA's biblical worldview and its academic excellence were built to strengthen one another.
What Happens Next
LCA now joins CSI's national community of member schools held to this same standard. The self-study process surfaced a set of concrete next steps that LCA is already building into its multi-year growth plan.
